Pipers’ Persuasion went to Glasgow, where we were fortunate to catch Iain MacFadyen at his son’s home for this interview. He is still energetically judging in all corners of Scotland where his radiant personality enriches any gathering. His down-to-earth manner makes for easy comprehension as he touches on his wide experiences in the world of piping. He gives a great account of his piping family, whose collection of Gold Medals has only been equalled by another piping family, the McCallums (see Willie McCallum).
